Design Room Assistant

Position Overview:

The Design Room Assistant will report to the Senior Designer. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, organized, highly communicative and exceptionally creative. As a member of high performing Design department. You will be involved with our swim, active, and apparel categories (knits & wovens). You will be supporting the Design department to drive our vision across all aspects of the design process from concept to production approval.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

· Support the Design team in all aspects from concept to final development across Frankies Bikinis and PINK by Frankies Bikinis.

· CAD swim and apparel that align with the Designer’s direction and overall aesthetic.

· Collate new seasonal material briefs including fabrics, trim, print and color guided by the Designer.

· Maintain line sheets with most updated information pertaining to design.

· Responsible for providing fabric, artwork, and lab dip comments and approvals to the Product Development team for both Frankies Bikinis and PINK by FB.

· Assist in the set-up of fabrication and silhouette reference pages for tech packs.

· Attend weekly fittings for Frankies Bikinis and PINK by FB.

· Responsible for fit notes on behalf of the Design team.

· Build strong, dynamic, and synergistic relationships with cross-functional partners; Technical Design, Product Development, Merchandising and Production.

· Adherence to calendar and all key milestones.

· Maintain and organize all sample racks and label samples accordingly.

· Provide administrative assistance for the Design team.

· Keep work area well-maintained and organized for the team

Education/Requirements:

· Minimum 2 years experience in similar role in the women’s contemporary / fashion space. Swim experience a plus.

· Formal degree in Fashion/Design.

· Very high proficiency in Adobe Illustrator a must.

· Highly organized.

· Basic understanding of fabrics, fit and construction across categories.

· Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.

· Self-motivated, positive, adaptable, and dependable attitude.

· A team player, you contribute positively to team dynamic, cultivate passion and productivity.

Salary Range:

The base salary range for this position is $23-$28 per hour and is full time. Actual salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, candidate’s related work experience. This position is also eligible for benefits.
